I started InsuranceGurukul.com in 2011 — when I was preparing for my own Insurance Institute of India exams and could not find a single place to practise what I had read. There were textbooks, but no way to test understanding. I built the platform I wish I had.
Since then, InsuranceGurukul has grown entirely through word of mouth. Over 15 years, more than 30,000 students across 7 countries have used the platform to prepare for Licentiate, Associate, and Fellowship examinations. Marketing spend has never exceeded 8% of revenue. Students who pass recommend it to colleagues — that is the only growth engine that has ever mattered.
From 2017 to 2022, InsuranceGurukul served as a Distribution Partner for the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK (CII UK) — the world's leading professional body for the insurance and financial planning sector. That five-year partnership was a recognition of the platform's credibility and reach in India's insurance professional community.
We have just relaunched InsuranceGurukul with better practice tools, smarter analysis, and a subject tutor on call. This is built for our existing students first. We are open to feedback, and we will keep learning and improving.
What InsuranceGurukul Is — and Is Not
InsuranceGurukul is not a paper leak. It is a learning aid built by someone who has sat exactly where you are sitting right now — preparing for a difficult exam while juggling work and life. Every question in this bank was chosen to build your conceptual understanding. Once you have mastered the concepts, you can attempt any question the exam throws at you.
It is also not an insurance business. InsuranceGurukul is an education and exam-preparation service: we provide practice questions and mock tests for III candidates, and we do not sell, broker, or advise on insurance or any financial products.

From 2017 to 2022, InsuranceGurukul.com served as an authorised Distribution Partner for CII UK's professional qualifications in India. The partnership ran successfully for five years. Due to operational reasons, we are currently not accepting CII UK registrations.
