Privacy Policy

1. Your Consent
By creating an account and using InsuranceGurukul.com, you consent to our collecting and processing your personal data as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer or by deleting your account; note that some data is necessary to provide the service, so withdrawing consent may end your access.
2. Information We Collect
When you register on InsuranceGurukul.com, we collect your full name, email address, and mobile number. We also collect information about your activity on the platform — modules accessed, test sessions completed, and answers submitted. This information is used solely to provide and improve the platform.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: create and manage your account, deliver purchased module access, send transactional emails (access confirmation, expiry reminders, password reset), and improve platform features.
4. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data or share it for anyone else's marketing. We share the minimum data necessary with trusted service providers who help us run the platform, and only so they can perform that service for us: Razorpay — to process your payments securely (we never see or store your card/bank details); Supabase — secure hosting and storage of your account and study data; our email delivery provider — to send you account, purchase, and access emails. These providers are bound to use your data only to provide their service to us and to keep it secure. We may also disclose data if required by law.
5. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted in the Mumbai region). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
6. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and you hold or have recently held a subscription. After your last subscription expires, we retain your account and study history for up to 24 months so you can return without losing your progress, after which it is deleted or anonymised — unless a longer period is required by law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer.
7. Email Communications
By registering, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your account and purchased modules. These include access confirmations, expiry warnings, and password reset emails. You may opt in to WhatsApp reminders during registration — this is optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
8. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at helpdesk@insurancegurukul.com.
9. Children's Data
The platform is intended for candidates aged 18 and over preparing for professional insurance examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18. If a person under 18 uses the platform, it must be with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.
10. Cookies
InsuranceGurukul.com uses essential cookies only — for session management and authentication. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
11. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may raise any question, concern, or complaint about your personal data — including requests to access, correct, or delete it — with our Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, InsuranceGurukul.com, Email: helpdesk@insurancegurukul.com. We will acknowledge your request promptly (typically within a few working days) and resolve it within the timelines required under the Act.
