1. Your Consent

By creating an account and using InsuranceGurukul.com, you consent to our collecting and processing your personal data as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer or by deleting your account; note that some data is necessary to provide the service, so withdrawing consent may end your access.

2. Information We Collect

When you register on InsuranceGurukul.com, we collect your full name, email address, and mobile number. We also record how you first reached our site: the referring website, and any advertisement or campaign identifiers in the link you followed. This tells us which of our own advertising is worth continuing. We also collect information about your activity on the platform: modules accessed, test sessions completed, and answers submitted. This information is used solely to provide and improve the platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: create and manage your account, deliver purchased module access, send transactional emails (access confirmation, expiry reminders, password reset), and improve platform features.

4. Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the limited ways described below.

To run the platform: we share the minimum data necessary with trusted service providers who help us operate, and only so they can perform that service for us. Razorpay processes your payments securely (we never see or store your card or bank details). Supabase provides secure hosting and storage of your account and study data. Our email delivery provider sends you account, purchase, and access emails. These providers are bound to use your data only to provide their service to us and to keep it secure.

For our own advertising: we may share your contact details (such as your name, email address, and mobile number) with advertising platforms we use, such as Google and Meta, so that we can show you InsuranceGurukul's own offers and reach new people who are similar to our members. This is used only to promote InsuranceGurukul's own services, never anyone else's marketing. Where these platforms support it, your details are shared in a secured, hashed form, and the platforms are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. You can opt out of this at any time (see section 8, Your Rights).

We may also disclose data if required by law.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted in the Mumbai region). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and you hold or have recently held a subscription. After your last subscription expires, we retain your account and study history for up to 24 months so you can return without losing your progress, after which it is deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is required by law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer.

7. Email Communications

By registering, you agree to receive transactional emails related to your account and purchased modules. These include access confirmations, expiry warnings, and password reset emails. You may opt in to WhatsApp reminders during registration. This is optional and can be withdrawn at any time.

8. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDP Act), you have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You can also ask us to stop using your contact details for advertising at any time by emailing [email protected]. Opting out will not affect your account or the transactional emails needed to run your subscription.

9. Children's Data

The platform is intended for candidates aged 18 and over preparing for professional insurance examinations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18. If a person under 18 uses the platform, it must be with the consent and under the supervision of a parent or lawful guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.

10. Cookies and Analytics

InsuranceGurukul.com uses essential cookies for session management and authentication. We also use measurement services that may set their own cookies or identifiers: Google Ads conversion tracking, so we can tell whether an advertisement led to a purchase; Google Analytics, for aggregate traffic and page statistics; Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not identify individual visitors; and Microsoft Clarity, which provides anonymous usage analytics, heatmaps, and session replay. Session replay is a reconstruction of on-page activity such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and we use it only to find and fix problems with the site. We do not sell this data. As described in section 4, we may use your contact details for InsuranceGurukul's own advertising through platforms such as Google and Meta, and you can opt out at any time. We do not otherwise build advertising profiles about you. Card and bank details are entered on Razorpay's own secure checkout and never appear on our pages, so they are not captured by any of these services.

11. Grievance Officer

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may raise any question, concern, or complaint about your personal data, including requests to access, correct, or delete it, with our Grievance Officer: Grievance Officer, InsuranceGurukul.com, Email: [email protected]. We will acknowledge your request promptly (typically within a few working days) and resolve it within the timelines required under the Act.
